Crusader Connection 11-6-20
November 6, 2020
Dear OLGC School Families,
It has been another incredible week at OLGC! Students have settled in and are having fun while learning. Our teachers need to be honored for their personal sacrifice, hard work, and pure joy they bring to our school each day. Our students are blessed to interact with teachers who are not only extraordinary in their craft of teaching, but reveal God's love and compassion. This week, Father Michael witnessed a student upon entering our school building at the start of the day say, "Good Morning, Jesus! I love you!" Our students are aware of the presence of our Lord and experience His love at our great school. We thank God for each day we get to bring students into deeper relationship with Jesus.
This week our teachers are providing an opportunity for in-person or remote conferences. If you did not receive a link to sign up for a conference, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher. If you would like to schedule a conference with a specials teacher, please contact them directly (see below). In addition, if you would like for a member of the Administration Team to attend your parent-teacher conference, please do not hesitate to contact us. If you would like to sign-up for a conference time with me, please
Please review the safety protocols and information about conferences:

Dear OLGC Family and Friends,
The Catholic Church dedicates the entire month of November to praying in a special way for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. OLGC Parish School will join the Catholic Church this month by praying for our loved ones who have passed away. Students will have the opportunity to bring in a picture of a departed loved one to be displayed at Mass. We are never closer to our loved ones than when we are at Mass. The Eucharist is a true window to Heaven.
If your family would like to honor a loved one by sending in a framed picture, please:
Submit a standing 4 x 6 framed picture of a loved one you would like to honor
Label the back of the frame with the departed person’s name and your oldest child’s name and grade level
Submit it by Thursday, November 12th
All pictures will be displayed in the sanctuary where weekly divisional masses are held, in the Junior High Commons area. We ask that each family send only one picture to be honored.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. AMEN
Thank you for uniting our prayers together as one school family in faith.

Reminder: Be Sure to Self Screen
It is imperative that every child is self-screened before coming to school in the morning. By sending your child to school, you are declaring that you have completed the
Daily Health Screener
and that your child is not exhibiting any of the symptoms or conditions listed.
If you answer "YES" to one or more questions, you must keep your child home from school.
In addition, the
Student Symptom Decision Tree
should be used to assist you in screening your child for potential COVID-19 symptoms or exposure. Your cooperation is essential to keeping our students and staff safe at OLGC.
