Crusader Connection 1-15-21
January 15, 2021
Dear OLGC School Families,
This week I had the opportunity to give tours to some prospective families. It amazes me that within minutes of being in our school, visitors comment on the Spirit of Joy among our school. "Everyone is so happy" was the repeated phrase this week. We are blessed to have a school family who enjoys being with each other and has their eyes fixed on Jesus! I love seeing smiling faces on our students throughout the day. It is evident that our teachers' love for learning has spilled over to our students and that our students love our school. The culture we have created at OLGC is one of love and respect. OLGC is a special place and you can "just feel it" upon being in our building.
I say this knowing that we have limited in-school volunteers and less opportunities to connect in-person this year. I pray that God's Spirit of Joy flows into your home each day and you, too, get a glimpse of the incredible work God is doing among our school family. It amazes me that despite this challenging time, God is showing off His divine power at our school. He is using our current circumstances to make us stronger in community and in faith. He has also used this time to grow our teachers and staff as we have participated in a variety of professionally development to better serve your children. Let's continue to thank God for all He has done and continues to do at OLGC!
As your family re-enrolls for the 2021-2022 school year, I pray that you are blessed by the sacrifice you are making for your child. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the enrollment process. Our staff and teachers are praying for your continued partnership with us in your child's academic and faith journey.
Enjoy your long weekend! We look forward to welcoming your children back to school on Tuesday!
In Christ's love,
Melissa Hunt, Principal

All current families should have received an email from FACTS at 7AM today to begin the enrollment process. Please complete the enrollment process by January 22nd. You will need a copy of your child's birth certificate and immunization record or State of Michigan Immunization Waiver Form. A $250 non-refundable deposit (per student) will be charged. If you are adding a new student, the $125 application fee will be waived until January 22nd.
tuition rates for 2021-2022
are now available on our school website. In years past, tuition has increased 5% for all children in your family. This year, I am pleased to announce that tuition will increase incrementally based on number of children in your family. Even better, we are able to maintain the new tuition cap at 3 children. Historically, tuition per student does not cover the total cost per student. This past year's average cost per student was $7,569. As part of the enrollment process, thank you for prayerfully discerning if you are able to fully or partially pay the cost gap to educate your child or provide financial assistance for another family in need.
2021-2022 Tuition Assistance
Parents are invited to apply for Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance for the 2021-22 academic year beginning January 22. Deadlines to apply are April 30 for the first round of awards and June 30 for the second round of awards. Families who would like to be considered for tuition assistance through our local Vollbrecht Fund must first apply for Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance. Please contact Mrs. Fitch for support with the $30 online application fee, if needed.

Promoting Our School at Mass
The weekend of January 23rd, all students are asked to wear their school uniforms to Mass. This is a great opportunity to showcase our school family! Students will need to "check in" with the volunteer at the main entrance in order to receive an "out of uniform pass" for participating. Following the Final Blessing, students are encouraged to go stand at the exits to wave and pass out Open House flyers.
